With just little emphasis place on the feminine gender, OWE seeks to point out that females too are valuable people, and if given equal opportunities they have the potentials to help in shaping the world for a better future.
At OWE, we are here to make you smile when you’re blue; to make you happy when you’re sad; to let you know that life isn’t so bad! You’ve got what it takes!! You can do it!!!
At OWE, we cannot change the past but we sure can help to shape the future.
As a destitute Refugee Girl, Florence had to join her widow aunt, a mother of seven (7) children and several grandchildren, to pick green fruits which they would made ripe for the purpose of selling. Little Florence herself, compelled to fully participate, for that was partly the only means of her survivability, saw her girlhood (her inalienable rights to play, study, sleep freely, and so on) taken away from her at the expense of poverty.
Her frustration with the prevalent abuse of women and girls, not limited to herself, stemmed from childhood, which motivates her to champion the cause for Women Empowerment, thereby Co-founding the Organization for Women Empowerment in 2014, with a vision to change such an intolerable narrative around and let underprivileged women and girls to see a light at the end of the tunnel.
With just little emphasis place on the feminine gender, OWE seeks to point out that females too are valuable people, and if given equal opportunities they have the potentials to help in shaping the world for a better future. Thus, making them to embrace life and build an honest relationship to a position change in their lives. OWE holds the strongest conviction that empowering oppressed, underserved Women and Girls is a reasonable cause for re-living the feminist dream, where women too can now become leaders, and caretakers of their families.
